The house. Originally built in 1850 as a boulangerie for Monsieur Gaston Martin, our maison at Le V is a traditional Medocaine two story stone house comprising some 300 square meters (3,229 square feet). The large kitchen contains the original wood burning brick oven used while Monsieur Martin operated the boulangerie until 2001. Le V is situated in the charming village of Vertheuil, facing the 12th century abbey and church of Vertheuil. On an adjacent hillside behind the maison is a chateau dating from the 12th century, originally built as a dungeon.
